Homeschool Skills offers a variety of ideas, encouragement, and advice for homeschoolers.
There are countless reasons to homeschool a child, and many more ways to accomplish that task. Every homeschooling parent and child has their own unique reasons, methods, and preferences. Homeschool Skills exists to offer ideas, encouragement, and advice to parents and children of all homeschooling creeds.
Other educators of children, including public school teachers and day care providers, are encouraged to read through the ideas here and apply them to their own classrooms if appropriate. All children deserve a quality education that is enriching and enjoyable. Homeschool Skills, while focused on the needs and interests of homeschoolers, does not exclude anyone.
Born from a passion of educating children, Homeschool Skills is owned and maintained by a homeschooling mother of four young children who, in her spare time, is pursuing both a degree in education from a local college and a professional writing career. While the author of this blog claims no degree of perfection (not even close!), she does enjoy sharing the information and successful tactics she has learned along her own homeschooling adventure.
